Kongens Tværvej

The residence on Kongens Tværvej is a charming villa in Copenhagen, a peaceful and picturesque residential area of Copenhagen. It is ideally located within walking distance to CBS and the Frederiksberg Gardens, where you can explore a great variety of green areas, cafés and shops. Close to public transportation, the residence is just a short train ride away from the city centre.

CONSTRUCTION WORK at Kongens Tværvej: 

Renovation work taking place at the dorm during the spring semester.

The building will undergo roof replacement and facade masonry work starting in the beginning of February 2026 and is estimated to take around 3 months.

The building will be fully scaffolded and wrapped during the renovation. Noise during daytime on weekdays from the masonry work is unfortunately unavoidable, but our contractors will do their utmost to minimize both noise and dust disturbances.

We understand that this may cause inconvenience, and we sincerely apologize for the disruption. Unfortunately, the work cannot be postponed any longer as it is essential to keep water from entering the building and ensure a more sustainable impact.

Information

The residence has 18 rooms and 3 floors, with 6 rooms per floor.

The rooms vary in size, ranging between 10-15 square meters.

Types: 11 small, 3 medium and 4 large.

Bathroom:

Each floor has 3 shared bathrooms.

Kitchen:

Each floor has one kitchen with basic equipment and a small, cozy dining area.

Heating:

Note that the period for NO heating in the building is from 1 May until 1 October 

Internet:

Wi-Fi. Computers and cables are not provided.

Laundry:

Washers and dryers are located in the basement. The cost is not included in the rent.

Transportation:

Kongens Tværvej is located within walking distance of CBS. All CBS buildings can be reached by bike (5 – 10 minutes) or by bus (10 minutes).

Parking and outdoor area:

The residence has limited parking space on the street in front of the building.

There is also a back courtyard with garden furniture.

 

"Kongens Tvaervej is a really small residence (for only 18 people) and that's what makes it special. All the students in here are like a big family and the shared kitchen is a great place for having a chat with the others while having dinner or a cup of tea."

Parcels and mail

We would like to provide you with some important information regarding delivery of parcels and letters to the dorms.

📦 Parcels

  • Parcels can generally not be delivered directly to the dorm, as the mailboxes are too small.
  • If you use the dorm address as the receiving address and your name is on the mailbox, the postman will normally leave a note with information about where to collect the parcel.
  • Please note: Sometimes the note can end up in the wrong mailbox, and the recipient may not receive the information.

We recommend that you choose a parcel shop when ordering online.

  • You will normally automatically be informed of different parcel shop (in Danish: pakkeshop) options during checkout.
  • You can also find your nearest parcel shop via this link.

📨 Parcels from family and friends

  • Please ask the sender to make sure that the envelope or parcel is small enough to fit in your mailbox.
  • If the parcel is too big, consider choosing a delivery service with tracking, so you can be at home when it arrives.

✉️ Letters

  • Ordinary letters can easily be delivered to your personal mailbox.

❌ CBS Housing Department

  • Please note that you cannot use CBS Housing Department or Fonden CBS Academic Housing as the receiving address.
  • Unfortunately, we cannot receive or deliver mail to students.
